Sunday Wardrobe: What I'm wearing then vs now..

If you wanted to take a peek back on my blog life
(which you totally could, its basically all laid out on Instagram)

You would notice a few things..

1) my following has increased a tad
    yay for likes! someone other than me liked it..

2) there's no end to my crazy
     I post what I want!

3) I pretty much live in sweaters..
    #legginglife

So if I could share with you from where all these sweaters come from I would..
I CAN. AND WILL.

There are 3 stores in my life that I just can't quit,
they go by the names..
Joe
Gap
H&M

This post is all about H&M
because this is how my H&M life works..
I either go in and walk out with nothing.
                        OR
I walk in, must have EVERY SINGLE ITEM on every hanger in the store
and walk out having spent a small fortune.
there is literally no in-between at that store.

First take a look back at some of my older H&M buys..

let me explain..

I really wanted a clothing streamer for years and years

I used one when working retail and they're so handy.

Finally got around to ordering this one from Walmart.ca

But dang this was a pain to set up

It shouldn't have been

however they mislabelled, either the poles or the instructions..

so I spent hours trying to shove the wrong sized poles into the connectors until I figured out the error.

Yeah the 3 is upside down because its mislabelled

And that 1 was suppose to be in the base of the steamer...

I will let it go and let you know how well it works at a later date because after all those struggles while trying to keep a toddler entertained, I didn't bother steaming any of my clothing haul.

I just used it as a clothing rack and called it a day!

and forewarning I am a serial outfit shopper.

All my clothes are similar but that's how I like it.

Its a bit on the heavy side for my 'spring on the brain' clothing haul but its just so soft and pretty

I will never get sick of stripes

why you ask ??!

because they camouflage bra backs and back fat due to bra backs!

Valentines day? We've got a sweater for that!

I'm sometimes into pattern but its gotta be mild!

I love pattern on other people!

I just love accessories too much

I know I cannot go wrong with a plain outfit and accessory overload.

Saturday Vibes: Splash'N Boots

Every once and a while an unexpected person walks into your life and you know things will never be the same.

Every once and a while that person is, well, two people.

That's how I feel about Splash'N Boots .
I don't really remember where or how we met but now they're a constant in my life and I'm good with that scenario.

Wayyyyyy back in June I had heard that S'NB were headed to play in Grand Falls-Windsor, Elliott was still under a year but their ticket prices were affordable so I figured even if we only stayed for a couple of songs it would be worth it.
Turns out it was worth it and worth much more!
They put on an amazing show.

We stayed from start to finish and left with that concert high feeling.

Not always the case when your Aerosmith concert days have turned into toddler jams...

I think what makes Splash'N Boots different is that although they're a kiddy band, their music has more of a kitchen party feel. Maybe that's just the Caper/Newfie in me but I really found myself enjoying the show.

SO, that brings us to today.

When we heard S'NB would be making an appearance at Exhibition Park Halifax we were like, yes.

The line up was RLLLLLLLLLY long to meet them.

I waited for about an hour. *Not S'NB's fault, just a massive crowd

But it was worth it.

They were so warm and welcoming

I felt like Elli and I were the only people in the room when we made it to the front of the line.

Plus these two were suppose to have a break and come back later for another appearance but they powered through and stayed to see all the kids. (what I can only assume was all day, because that line up!)

And now see me fan girl to the billionth degree below..

I can't help it.

And they actually remembered GFW

or lied about how nice the venue was..

but I believe them because it is a super nice venue hahah

I just love them.
I just do.
Even if I cant figure out who is the Splash and who is Boots   ??!?!

In JUNE 2015 I was wearing Maybelline Mattes lipstick in Mesmerizing Magenta and in current day I am wearing Maybelling Mattes Craving Coral.

I love those mattes!!

Let's talk about mom face..

If there's one thing that I love unconditionally in this world it's my son LIP STICK!
(and my son but that's a given)

Sooooo many lipsticks, I just can't stay away.

They're all so different.

(if you said that to my husband he wouldn't agree but we know its true)

blue red, red red, orange red, why is it so hard to find T-Swift red??!?!

Lip stick can be a heavy burden to wear bear.

So my new go to is the liquid lipstick.

There are many brands that do it GOOOOOOOD.

I couldn't possibly pick a favorite

nor could I show my entire collection

but I did grab this handful of my probably most worn

they were all either in my purse or work smock so you know they get repetitive use.

the worst thing I can say is that her stuff is always sold out on Sephora.ca because its so good

it applies like a dream

a little mousse like, soft and creamy

stays in place for a long time, yet removes with a swipe of bioderma

Too Faced Melted liquified longwear lipstick

I use to hate now I LOVE.

this is the trick with these..

unless you are a nude lipstick lover, go darker

go for the darker shade 100%

because you can build these up

I will just put a dab in the middle of my bottom lip and use my finger to blend it in on days that I'm not feeling a full lipstick feel.

the reason I didn't like them at first was because I bought a too light shade and it washed me out.

It looked good in swatches but on my lips, no no

staying power, perfection

Sephora collection Cream lip stain

this is such a BAB lip stain

I made the mistake once of removing it before bed, using my bioderma

but I was too tired to look in the mirror or wash my face afterwards

normally my bioderma gets everything and there's no need to look in the mirror

WELL

I woke up in the morning and Nick was like "wtf is all over your face???"

I had "removed" the lipstick alright

and smudged red residue ALL over my face

it was like a horror movie

I was laughing so much I cried, I could've straight up been an extra in any Wes Craven film

I still kick myself for not being smart enough to take a photo

so, lasting power UNBELIEVABLE

do not rush the application process

that lip stain will be with you for 72 hours hahah

Yes, they sometimes can give you the dry Kardashian pout
but I think we would both be lying if we said we didn't want that on occasion

sold out in about 2 seconds flat
I will probably never get my hands on one :((((
